Play Hockey For Food - 5 Hole For Food 2013 Tour Coming to NYC June 29, 2013
Saturday, June 15, 2013
Five Hole for Food (FHFF) is a national, volunteer-driven, social-profit organization with a bold, enterprising, and entrepreneurial approach aimed at raising food and awareness for a cause that affects 10.8 million Canadians a year.
Over the past three years, FHFF has raised in excess of 200,000 pounds of food in support of local food banks across Canada. Armed with national partners, the unwavering support of over 40 volunteers, and an identity borne from social media, FHFF is bringing together communities across Canada by using hockey as a vehicle for social change, and reaching a new generation of social entrepreneurs.
In partnership with Canada Day International, we are pleased to announce that we will be joining Canada Day New York, a celebration of Canada and all things Canadian on the global stage. Taking place in Central Park on June 29, we will be hosting a ball hockey tournament benefiting the New York City Food Bank.
This tournament will be like nothing you’ve ever experienced. We promise.
More details will be announced in the coming weeks. Be sure to circle June 29 on your calendar and join us in Central Park for our New York City Debut.
