High Park Fire Relief Restaurant Week
Monday, July 9, 2012
Per The Coloradoan:
The High Park Fire is 100 percent contained, but the work is far from over. So lift a fork to these local efforts to raise funds for firefighters and fire victims through food and drink (along with a little music and art).
July 10-16
During High Park Fire Relief Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will have collection jars out and will match their patrons’ donations to the American Red Cross, Larimer County Humane Society and Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, each restaurant will create special High Park Fire dishes and/or drink specials, of which a portion of sales will be donated to local nonprofits that aided during the fire. Participating restaurants include Fish Restaurant, Tortilla Marissa’s, Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse, Young’s Cafe, Front Range Village Dazbog Coffee, Mo Jeaux’s, Mt. Fuji, Stuft, New Belgium Brewing Company and Suehiro Japanese Restaurant.
July 15
Modern Woodmen of America will host the Bluegrass Festival, Dinner and Silent Auction benefit for High Park Fire victims and the NoCo Rebuilding Network. The show will feature performances by John Magnie, Cow Town, Barb Solow, Gary McMahan and The Spurs of the Moment, The McDailey Experiment, Liz Masterson and Brent Hawley. The show will begin at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) July 15 at Legacy Stables, 4501 N. County Road 9, Fort Collins. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door (firefighters attend free).
